Our specialist Debt advisers help clients to identify available debt solutions, and to maximise income. Our team will explain the implications of any client choice, and also offer budgeting suggestions.

We will ask clients for some details about themselves and the issue they are looking for help with. We will store client information on our secure database. We will use this information to provide advice as well as to improve our service and inform our campaigns. We may also ask clients if they are happy to share some information about their background with us. Clients do not have to provide us with this information and it does not affect the advice they will receive. However, it helps us ensure that we are delivering our service in a way that supports everyone and that we are reaching people from all backgrounds.

Third Party Permission

If a third party is needed as client’s initial contact, please state the client has given permission for this and the third party is aware that Citizens Advice will be in contact. Please note, we may still need to ask for written third party permission.
